Limiar — Two ways to stay

Stay with us

Short Nature Stays for a few quiet days, or multi-week Slow Stays for deeper rest and immersive living.

Farmhouse rooms, a tiny house and simple bell tents — arranged personally.

TWO WAYS TO STAY

Two ways to stay at Limiar

Both offer time in the same landscape, but with a different pace and level of immersion. Retreats remain separate scheduled programmes.

SHORT STAYS

Nature Stays

A few quiet days for privacy, rest and time outdoors.

Nature Stays are short individual stays for guests who want to step away for a few days, spend time in nature and experience Limiar at their own pace. They include the accommodation booked and use of the shared spaces and facilities described on this page. Meals, guided sessions and optional extras are not included automatically and may be arranged separately when available.

MULTI-WEEK STAYS

Slow Stays

Several weeks to settle in, create, work or rest more deeply.

Slow Stays are multi-week stays for people who want to experience Limiar at a more residential pace rather than visit for a short holiday. They may suit remote work, creative or personal projects, transition periods or extended rest. A Slow Stay may also be arranged before or after a retreat, subject to availability. Duration, conditions and practical arrangements are agreed directly.

Simple, comfortable spaces surrounded by cork oaks and granite — used for both Nature Stays and Slow Stays.

  • Two guest rooms in the farmhouse — a large room and an ensuite room
  • A separate tiny house in the trees
  • Bell tents with double beds
  • A secluded twin tent

All spaces are simple and comfortable, close to the land and the surrounding trees.

Availability is limited and confirmed personally — just get in touch.

Who this is for

This place tends to resonate with people who are comfortable with simplicity, enjoy being in nature, and are looking for a slower rhythm for a few days.

You don't need to join a retreat — but you should feel at ease with quiet, space, and a certain level of autonomy.

It can also work well if you're happy to stay mostly on-site and move at a slower rhythm.

This may not be for you

If you're looking for comfort, services, or a social atmosphere, this might not be the right place.

There are no shops or restaurants nearby, and the experience is intentionally simple and quiet.

Getting here and moving around is easier with a car, but some guests choose to stay without one and settle in.

Sustainability

Limiar is a semi off-grid place. Electricity and water are produced on-site rather than connected to public networks.

The infrastructure is intentionally simple: essentials are covered, extras are few.

The land, the trees, and the surrounding ecosystem shape the way this place is used — we try to take only what is needed and to leave things well.

  • Off-grid energy, self-produced on-site
  • Water system independent from public supply
  • Simple, low-impact infrastructure
  • Care for the land and the surrounding ecosystem
